ABOUT BRIAN ROSE LITTLE BIG BAND:

A popular 11-piece band, which is available for dances, receptions and concerts. The band's aim is simply to play good, danceable music - jazz, swing, jive, pop, ballroom, Latin, and R&B - in a small ensemble. In other words, a little big band. The group has been together six years, building a repertoire of more than 400 fresh, contemporary arrangements of popular tunes, including favourites from the thirties and forties, to the hits of today. The emphasis is on standards - songs that survive the test of time. Above all, we take our music seriously - but not ourselves! We always have a good time playing the music we love, and therefore, so does our audience. As the song says, “It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing! “

Whether he is playing with his band or performing solo Alfie Latanski whose show is better known as “Soul Heart” will move you. His style of music beautifully reflects his cultural background and emotional spirit through his passionate mastery of the Spanish guitar. “Soul Heart” includes an original instrumental compilation, which mixes and blends ancient & new age music with elements of nouveau flamenco, smooth jazz, classical and traditional Latin and world rhythms. While she reaches for the heavens in song she stands grounded in the muddy waters of the Delta. She is a modern classic, a rootsy skip in heels. She brings the South North. Her voice is the sound of New Orleans in the rain. She has an old soul in her young heart. Her eyes know loss but there is hope and affirmation whenever she sings.

Heather was the partner of Glen Bensley in the Hokum Runners. Since his untimely death Heather has built a new cast of collaborators around her. The Luckhart Collective is a loose gathering of talented musicians of various styles.
