Get ready to let the good times roll at the 2007 Oshawa Jazz and Blues Festival
Now in its 6th year, the Oshawa Jazz and Blues Festival has become Oshawa�s premiere summer festival. The 2007 Festival will run from August 6th to 11th and is expected to draw over 10,000 people from across the Durham Region and beyond.
The Oshawa Jazz and Blues Festival kicked off with a Media Launch on June 8th in the Groove Lounge at Le Skratch. Presented by the Downtown Oshawa Board of Management, the evening was hosted by jazz personalities Jaymz Bee and Amanda Martinez. Music was provided by Luis Mario Ochao and Cimarron Latin Jazz Band, who will also be performing at the Main Event in Memorial Park on August 11th.
Glen Gillett, Chairman of the Downtown Oshawa Board of Management, attests to the cultural importance of the Oshawa Jazz and Blues Festival by saying: �The Downtown Oshawa Board of Management is thrilled to be participating in the 2007 Oshawa Jazz and Blues Festival. We are confident that this quality event will continue to raise the profile of The City of Oshawa�.
The Oshawa Jazz and Blues Festival is presented by the Downtown Action Committee and is produced by Eclipse Concerts Inc.
